The Nile Empire is a world of Pulp heroes and high drama. Gangsters run the streets of Cairo, but the Empire is ruled by Pharaoh Mobius. His legions of stormtroopers are supported by the priests of the newly arisen Egyptian religion. The only thing that stands against these villainous are the heroic Rocket Rangers and the group of heroes know as the Mystery Men, lead by Dr Alexus Frest.

Human-sized objects may be easily transported with apportation. Conjuration of ephemeral objects like fire, lightning, or gas becomes practical.
Pluralism rises, balancing diverse factions and cultures within a single society. Large bureaucracies and welfare become sustainable. Very rare individuals manifest weak telepathy or kinesis powers. Telepathy requires physical contact, while kinesis only affects the psi’s own body.
Gods or similiar divine forces may appear corporeally. Sites or artifacts may have independent spiritual energy, allowing their effects to function continually and without a wielder.
Aircraft are metal-skinned and prop-driven. Tanks rule the battlefield. Radar invented.
The Law of Action - Immediately after spending a Possibility on an action and getting a total, a character may spend another Possibility to roll another die and take the better of the two results.
The Law of Drama - Spectacle is used to describe many things in The Nile Empire. Emotions are increased, and quickly escalate, whether it be passion and love, or betrayal and feuds. Death itself is rarely permanent, at least for heroes and villians.
The Law of Heroism - Player character Storm Knights increase their base Destiny card hand size to five. Players must discard a card of their choosing when no longer affected by the Nile Empire's World Laws.
