Tharkhold mixes demonic horror with brutal technology and dark magic. Tribal dominance is the norm as demonic thralls work to please their Alpha leaders. Humans, known simply as The Race, are kept in small populations as playthings for the demonic Tharkoldu. Their planned invasion of Russia was thwarted by the detonation of nuclear weapons at the point of the invasion with had the unexpected exponential impact when impacted by the forces that are involved with controlling reality. Much of the western Russia is a radioactive wasteland, adding to the horror of the demons.

Believers with faith may assist a ritual without requiring the Miracles Perk. The presence of skeptics or nonbelievers no longer disrupts rituals.
Portable fusion generators make personal energy weapons common. Nanotechnology and “memory“ materials become practical. Cybernetics are superior to natural components.
The Law of Domination - When intimidation is an Approved Action, a success allows the charater to draw 2 Destiny cards and choose which one to keep, and discard the other.
The Law of Ferocity - Beings from this realm are not subtle, but are brutally effective in their ruthless pursuits. The ferocious nature means most conflicts end in bloody results.
The Law of Pain - This brutal cosm rewards those who inflict great suffering. A character recovers one shock if his action causes one or more Wounds. The demons of Tharkold often harm their own pitiful thralls to prolong their loathsome existence when in engaged in direct combat with belligerent "monkeys".
